Student Stewards Caring for our Natural Resources

The Northeast Michigan Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative (NEMIGLSI) is a network of education and community partners working to promote quality place-based stewardship education opportunities in Northeast Michigan for the benefit of our youth, our community, and our environment.

"I love it when students are able to see themselves as authentic change-makers in their own community applying their learning to bring their projects to fruition."- NEMIGLSI Teacher

In the NEMIGLSI network we support getting students' hands in the dirt, feet in the water, and hearts in the communities, using forests and shorelines as classrooms as they engage in hands-on stewardship projects.
