Mission

The Presque Isle Conservation District is a local unit of state government that serves as a contact point for people in Presque Isle County.  We work at the county level to plan, protect, and enhance the wise use of our natural resources on land, in the air and water, and help people address conservation issues.

About Us

The Presque Isle Conservation District is a strong advocate of healthy soils in our environment since almost everything we do, at some point in time, is dependent upon having healthy soils for life. The quality of the life we have is also very dependent upon healthy soils, i.e. healthy soils produce abundant agriculture, poor soils produce poor agriculture. To learn more about Healthy Soils and what you can do to preserve them please contact us.
