Great Lakes Steward Ship Initiative Northeast Michigan

Students participating in this program are involved in numerous "green" projects across the school. They have developed a greenhouse that they helped both design and construct. The space will be used to cultivate native plants, and students will learn about the plants and gardening along the way. In addition, the students started and continue to manage a recycling program in their school, working with all grade levels to make it as effective as possible. The class is encouraged to constantly be developing and working on new projects.
