The Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary hosted their annual Regional Networking meeting on Tuesday through the Northeast Michigan Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative.

Educators and community partners from across northeast michigan gathered together to merge ideas on how to get youths engaged through their learning in the environmental stewardship projects and make a difference in their community.

These educators are all invested in youth development opportunities through natural resource education experiences.

The goal of the regional meeting was to share resources and there were also panelists that shared insights about placed based education.

In order to practice what they preach, everyone that attended the meeting also participated in a 'green meeting' where everything that was disposed of, such as reusable products, will be composted and recycled.
