The Northeast Michigan Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative could not be as successful as it is without the dedicated support from all of our partners, including schools, government agencies, non profits, and businesses. They are the people that make these projects happen! Click the link below to see a list of all the partners involved in NEMI GLSI.

Mission

We, the staff of Sanborn Elementary School, will accept the challenges and responsibility of helping all students reach their fullest potential by providing a creative learning environment throughout the curriculum, the use of modern technology, and enrichment activities. We believe students should be motivated to think for themselves as they acquire the basic skills for success in the modern world.

Sanborn Elementary, one of six elementary buildings in the Alpena Public School District, is located in Ossineke, Michigan near beautiful Lake Huron and the Devil's River. Over 200 students attend Kindergarten through grade five. Sanborn is very proud of its special features, programs, and, most of all, its commitment to the children of the future. We believe knowledge is the key to success.
