Mission

SPAWN, or the Sturgeon Pigeon Area Watershed Network, is a newly-formed coalition of partners interested in enhancing the Pigeon and Sturgeon rivers and the surrounding lands that make up their watersheds. This group is an effort to get citizens involved in long-term watershed protection and serves as a vehicle for community members to provide input and leadership for future conservation projects. SPAWN meets quarterly to discuss resource concerns in the Pigeon and Sturgeon Watersheds along with providing educational outreach in the community. SPAWN will play a larger role in organizing and planning community volunteer events as it continues to grow and change.
