Today, the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary hosted a Remotely Operated Vehicle Design and Build Workshop for teachers and students.

This workshop provided a forum for teachers to acquire the knowledge and skills to build a basic ROV design through the STEM curriculum.

Six teachers from Petoskey Public Schools participated in this clinic to develop and understand what ROV technicians do and the technologies needed to implement an ROV.

The goal for the teachers is take what they've learned from today's workshop and teach it to their students in order to possibly build an ROV for the Great Lakes Regional ROV Competition.
