Over 100 first grade students at South Maple Elementary School became frog experts at Frog Day!

As students rotated through different stations every fifteen minutes, they created crafts, got to actually see a frog and learned much about their amphibious friends. Justin Burchett, Huron Pines AmeriCorps Member serving as the Otsego Conservation District Education Coordinator, helped out by allowing kids the opportunity to touch a real frog, teach them about the life stages of a frog from egg to adulthood, talk about what frogs eat and explain the importance of water quality for frogs AND humans!
